Warren Clark Noland passed away on August 12, 2026 at the age of 109 in Fullerton, California. He was born February 9, 1917 to Margaret Eva Clark Noland and Burton Floyd Noland in Omaha, Nebraska, where he grew up.

After graduating from high school, he attended Colorado State University, earning a BS degree in forestry. Following his graduation in 1939, he was offered a job working for the US Department of Agriculture in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he met his wife of 68 years, Zelpha Frandsen. During their marriage they added 5 children into their family; Sharlene, Clifford, Philip, Keith, and DeeAnn.

In 1944 Warren enlisted in the army foreseeing the draft was imminent because of the war. He was stationed in Hawaii and scheduled to go overseas, when word came that the war had ended. He was discharged in 1946 and went back to work for the Department of Agriculture.

He transferred to several different places, eventually ending up in Los Angeles, California, where he retired after 36 years, at the age of 58.

Warren has always had a great love for fishing and hunting, traveling throughout the world searching for adventure, often including his wife and/or his children. When he retired, he and Zelpha moved to Prescott, Arizona, and continued with their love of traveling together. When Zelpha started having health issues that he could no longer care for by himself, they moved back to California to be near their children.

Warren lived 17 years after the passing of his wife in 2009, and was still out fishing and hunting into his 90’s. He lived a long life that was filled with family and adventure, and he will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Warren is survived by his children: Sharlene (Kenneth) Perry, Clifford (Lina) Noland, Philip Noland, Keith (Gayle) Noland, and DeeAnn Noland; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eva and Burt Noland; his sister Margene (Richard) Drain; son-in-law Manuel Delgado; grandson Jason Noland; great grandson Kyle Mathiesen; and great-great grandchildren Bella Mathiesen and Bennet Mathiesen.
