Lynnette Wright King

December 14, 1951 — December 19, 2022

ON DECEMBER 14,1951, LYNNETTE WRIGHT PARTED THE CLOUDS AND MADE HER GRAND ENTRANCE UPON THIS PLANET. SHE WAS BORN UNTO THE UNION OF HER AMAZING PARENTS: JOSEPH AND LIZZIE WRIGHT, IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. SHE HAD A VERY QUIET, YET EFFECTIVE MANNER, AS SHE JOCKEYED FOR POSITION AS SHE SOUGHT TO FIND HER PLACE AMONG AN EVENTUAL TOTAL OF ELEVEN CHILDREN.

GROWING UP LYNNETTE REALLY LOVED ALL KINDS OF MUSIC. SHE AND HER SIBLINGS HAD ASSIGNED PARTS IN GROUP SINGING AND DANCING. SHE INTRODUCED MANY OF HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO JAZZ AND WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR BROADENING THE MUSICAL HORIZONS OF THOSE SHE TOUCHED BEYOND THEIR WILDEST IMAGINATIONS.

ON AUGUST 30,1969, SHE MARRIED THE LOVE OF HER LIFE, WILLIE DAVID KING. THEIR MILITARY TRAVEL, WHILE IN THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE, TOOK THEM ALL OVER THE WORLD. THEY WERE STATIONED IN GERMANY WHEN THEY GAVE BIRTH TO THEIR SON, THE ABSOLUTE LOVE OF HER LIFE, BERTRAM DAVID KING.

LYNNETTE WORE MANY HATS IN THIS WALK OF LIFE, BUT SHE WAS ESPECIALLY PROUD OF BEING A WIFE, MOTHER, MOTHER-IN-LAW AND GRANDMOTHER. LYNNETTE’S CHILDREN BERTRAM, CRYSTAL, DAVID KAYLIN, AND DARIUS KHIRY MADE HER DAYS SO BRIGHT.

LYNNETE WAS BAPTIZED IN ADULTHOOD. SHE PROFESSED A COMMITTED LOVE FOR AND TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF VICTORY BAPTIST CHURCH IN STONE MOUNTAIN, GA.

IN THE EARLY AFTERNOON OF DECEMBER 19,2022, THE HEART THAT LOVED AND HELPED SO MANY CEASED TO BEAT. WELL DONE THY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT, LYNNETTE WRIGHT KING, WELL DONE!

SHE TEMPORARILY LEAVES BEHIND TO CHERISH HER FOND MEMORIES: HER DEVOTED HUSBAND WILLIE DAVID KING, HER SON BERTRAM DAVID KING (CRYSTAL), GRANDSONS: DAVID KING AND DARIUS KING; SEVERAL SISTERS, BROTHERS IN BLOOD AND IN LOVE; COUNTLESS NIECES, NEPHEWS, EXTENDED FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
