Elizabeth “Bessie” Marie Garroutte Hankins

​Elizabeth “Bessie” Marie Garroutte Hankins was born on August 13, 1939, in Hulbert, Oklahoma. Bessie attended Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology. After college, Bessie went on to work as a Civil Engineer and Computer Programmer. Bessie’s favorite pastimes included computers, gambling at the casino, and cats.

Bessie is survived by her children; James P. Hankins, Jr. (Jane), Jay P. Hankins (JoAnn), and Susan L. Hankins, and three grandchildren; Melissa Roberts, April Meuse, and Caitlin Hankins.
