Barbara Ann Wood

January 24, 1953 — June 13, 2023

Barbara Ann Wood

Barbara Ann Wood was born in San Jose January 24th 1953. She was released from the bonds of her body, and went in the arms of the Lord June 13, 2023. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Benito and Rachel Sanchez, her brother Louis, and sister Lydia.

Barbara leaves behind her loving dedicated husband of 50 years, Daniel, and their children Melissa, Brian, Crista, Daughter-in laws, Olivia, Jessica, and Kristen, Grandchildren, Alyssia, Dominic, Anjel, Layla, Isabel, and Great Grandchildren, Christian, Dani, Mila, Baby Sunshine, and brother Benny.

Some people called her a Saint because of her generosity and caring nature. Her family couldn't agree more. Barbara was very perceptive when it came to her family. She was intuitive when it came to their needs, whether it was to talk or listen, she was always there. Barbara loved the culinary arts not because she loved to cook, but because she loved to eat! She enjoyed music, dancing, and going to concerts. She had a big record collection she would go through and play when record players were the thing. She loved to be stylish and always kept herself looking beautiful.

Barbara was retired, but had been in the administrative field most of her working life. Barbara always talked about the friends she made at work and shared what she learned about their cultures. While retired she did get to travel and enjoy beautiful places with her husband, friends, and family.

She showed poise despite having several medical setbacks. Barbara had a couple accidents over the years that caused her to have many surgeries and eventually left her homebound. She loved, deserved, and had the best things in life, but was always selfless when it came to those she loved.

Her family will always feel the void of the loss of her, but feel comfort knowing she's no longer in pain. She will always remain as close as the memory of her words, smile, and tenderness she left behind for them. Barbara Ann Wood, will always be loved and never forgotten by her family and her dedicated husband, Dan.

Please feel free to share a story you remember about Barbara. She touched many lives and it's s comforting to hear about it.

Thank you,
